The Sims 3 Recategorizer (UPDATE Late Night!)., 3 Thanks Posts The Sims 3 Recategorizer This mod is outdated, an up-tp-date version can be obtained from Simlogical. An electric guitar, director's chair, hot tub, tv, trailer and car that were hidden can now be bought from Buy Mode catalog (without the buydebug cheat).
Hi there.
Laterly i've been running into trouble while using the buydebug cheat.
At first i thought my freezing problems where random, but then i discovered the pattern with it freezing everytime i had enabled the buydebug cheat (doesn't help to turn it off. It will still freeze as i activated it to begin with).
Here's what usually happens:
I'm upgrading some comunity lots in my world and enter edit town, and then the build mode to whichever lot i want to edit. While in build mode, i activate a couple of cheats. These are Testingcheatsenabled true, Buydebug and Moveobjects on. Note that Testingcheatsenabled true and Moveobjects on doesn't conflict with the saving. After i stoped trying to apply buydebug, my freezing troubles perished with it.
Anyway, when i use the buydebug cheat and want to save my game, i have to enter edit town again for the actual save. This is where the problem starts, as when it supposedly loads out to he town menu, it's stuck on a endless loading screen. This forces me to ctrl+alt+del my way out of the game and lose my changes.
It is bugging the life out of me, as i really like some of the special effects items, only avaiable through this cheat...
Anyone else having the same issues as me? If so, is there any fixes to it?
Btw, i have a highly functional gaming machine with a Nvidia Geforce graphic card installed. My computer is updated to the latest drivers etc. There really is no issues within the game except for this one while (as said above) using the Buydebug cheat. Never happens otherwise, so i really believe the cheat is the cause of the freeze. *sighs*

- edited May 2014Have you tried filtering buydebug by Ambitions items?
- edited May 2014Greetings cameonet; I agree with LuvtehGeeks, I think its in buydebug.
Under buydebug look for the Miscellenous tab. It's either next to last, or last.
Scroll down until you see the firetruck; I believe it's toward the bottom 2 or 3 rows, but I might be wrong on that.
If its not there, the only other place I can think of is the Community icon under Miscellaneous.
Try buydebug again first; sometimes expanding the page helps cause everything's so small. Also try setting your filter for Ambitions items.

- edited May 2014Yes, it's under buydebug.
However, I *think* if you build a firestation with all the right bits and pieces and then play a fireman sim, when the fire alarm goes off, the fire station generates it's own fire engine.
Can anyone confirm this?My Sims 3 Page: http://mypage.thesims3.com/mypage/Tarante11a

I love the firefighter career Riding around in that cool fire truck is awesome! I also love the flirty interaction 'I'm a Firefighter' that comes with this career - it makes my male sim a real hit with the ladiesYup, and by the time they hit Chief they get their own woo-woo and the truck at the station is in the way of them parking their personal vehicle so it can be the upgraded truck they drive.0 - edited May 2014I'll have to try this career. I purchased the Ambitions pack late so I haven't dabbled in it much. All I know is if you choose lifeguard....EVERYONE in town all of a sudden starts drowning when they go to the beach
Also...this may be too obvious of a solution but just make sure you have your community lot set for Fire station....I'm assuming there is such a thing right? Cuz if not that could be why the Fire truck is not showing up. - edited May 2014

Yeah, it's not quite that simple Easy tho!
There are various items from buydebug you *have* to include in order for the fire station to work properly. There are proper guides around the place, but off the top of my head, there's a fire bell, the Woo Woo, a slidey pole and you need to have a certain number of beds, I think. All this stuff is linked to how the career works - so your fireman has to maintain the bell and the truck, for example.
I've built a couple of firestations now because I like them to be a little more compact than in game ones, and have one of them on my studio page (shameless self-plug! )
But yes, after all this you do indeed have to set them as Fire Station.
Hope that helps a bit!My Sims 3 Page: http://mypage.thesims3.com/mypage/Tarante11a
My Sims 3 Studio: http://www.thesims3.com/mypage/Tarante11a/mystudio - edited May 2014Creator has to place the alarm and the firetruck - it will not just appear like the non-career one does.
